I'm Sean, a researcher exploring evolutionary biology from both model-based and empirical perspectives. My early work focused on chromosome number and sex chromosome evolution in beetles, using phylogenetic comparative methods and model-fitting approaches to understand large-scale evolutionary patterns.
More recently, I've shifted toward field-based research and population genomics, assembling genomes and analyzing genetic variation in endangered and non-model species to study how isolation, drift, and selection shape biodiversity.
